Latanick Equipment, Inc. is a family-owned industrial machinery and fabrication company headquartered in Huron, Ohio. Founded in 1973, we have spent more than five decades building a reputation for quality craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and reliable service across Northeast Ohio and beyond.
We specialize in the design and fabrication of custom industrial machinery, heavy steel and aluminum structures, precision machining, and welding, both in our shop and on-site at customer locations. We also supply and install WATT-brand telescoping rack-and-pinion valves for pipeline applications.
Today, the company is led by President and Owner Richard "Rick" Poorman, with Office Manager Judy Poorman supporting day-to-day operations. Rick and Judy are supported by their sons, Brandon Poorman and Ryan Poorman, who are also part of the team, carrying the family tradition of custom machining and fabrication into the next generation. Our team of 15+ skilled employees brings deep hands-on expertise to every project, large or small.

Fabricated a custom 20×50-ft steel cylinder rack for Garrett Research (NASA). Due to its size, the rack was built in sections and assembled on-site at the NASA facility.
Designed and fabricated steel and aluminum floating dock systems for Gull Harbor marina, demonstrating our versatility across marine and waterway applications.
Engineered and built a custom Flying Cut Off Machine for a regional industrial client, an example of our end-to-end design and build capability.
Founded and incorporated by Ken Watt, acquiring the business from Frank Latanick.
Operations relocated to 720 River Road, Huron, Ohio, the company's home to this day.
